Courtesy of Investment News: Goldman Sachs Asset Management, one of the nation’s largest managers of defined-benefit assets, is now looking to expand its Defined Contribution business. By using an open-architecture customized glide path, Goldman hopes to target advisors who don’t have the internal capability to build an asset allocation model.

Data recently collected by the Pew Research Center in January 2010 shows strong Twitter usage by the Millennial generation (ages 18 – 29). As an investment manager, this is all the more reason to be clear what goals and audience you should have in mind when using Twitter.

BlackRock’s Q1 2010 fund flows seem to have validated a position that I put forth 2 weeks ago, asking if active investment management has peaked. Based on BlackRock’s total net outflows of $31 billion, this indeed seems to be the case.
